Fiduciary Duties

Officers, Directors, Managing Members of LLC's, shareholders, members and certain key employees (CEO, CFO, vice presidents and certain high level managers) owe a fiduciary duty to the company they serve.  This requires that they make informed decisions and place the company's interests above their own personal interest.  When a fiduciary breaches their duty, significant financial losses can occur.

If you suspect or know that your company has been damaged by the wrongful acts of a fiduciary, I have the experience necessary to evaluate the case, advise you of your rights, and if necessary, pursue the matter on your behalf.
Experienced Litigator

I have litigated numerous cases in both state and federal court and have represented clients in hearings before state and federal agencies.  In a non-litigation role, I work with business owners on general liability, personal injury, property damage, insurance, employment, and contract issues - including federal contract compliance.   I advise employers regarding employment policies and help them to achieve cost-effective solutions to employment issues.
Problem Solving

While I am most often called upon to react to a crisis, I also assist clients who want to proactively set up business systems that meet legal requirements.  For example, I work with clients to install policies and procedures to protect their business from former employees setting up competing businesses or competitors stealing trade secrets.   I also help clients set up internal procedures to respond to Family Medical Leave Act requests; or to address   privacy rights, ERISA, ADEA, ADA, EEO, FLSA requirements and their state law counterparts.
